Two Men Charged for Grave Yard Murder

Monday 5th September, 2011. 

 

Detectives attached to the Major Crime Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, have preferred murder charges against two young men, upon completion of a diligent investigation into the death of 24-year-old, Lisa Isidore of Babonneau, Castries. The young men are: 20-year-old, Jean Fontinelle a.k.a “Zong” of Fond-Le-Grand, Castries and 22-year-old, Cameron Belizaire a.k.a “Tabac” of Cedars, Castries.

The incident occurred about 7:30pm, on Friday the 26th of August, 2011, at Wilton’s Yard, popularly known as “Grave Yard”, Castries, where Isidore, who was in an area at the “Grave Yard” when a shot was fired in her direction, hitting her in the upper body. She was taken to the Victoria Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A post mortem which was later performed on her body, revealed death by haemorrhagic shock, secondary to gunshot wound to her back.

Both men appeared in court on Monday the 5th of September, 2011, where they were remanded at the Bordelais Correctional Facility. The case was adjourned to the 6th of October, 2011.
