Cas-En-Bas Resident Convicted for Illegal Firearm
On Tuesday the 17th of March, 2011, a team of police officers executed a Search Warrant at the residence of 44-year-old, Fouad Hadeed a.k.a “The Boose” of Cas-En-Bas, Gros-Islet, where a .38 revolver along with six rounds of ammunition were found.
Consequently, the officers arrested Hadeed and his 42-year-old common-law wife, Pamposa Louis, who were both charged for possession of firearm and possession of ammunition. They later appeared in court at Gros-Islet, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The case against Pamposa Louis was transferred to the B1 Court in Castries and she is scheduled to reappear on the 11th of October, 2011. However, Hadeed made an appearance in court at Gros-Islet on Wednesday the 5th of October, 2011, where on this occasion he pleaded guilty to the aforementioned charges.
In relation to the charge of possession of firearm, he was fined the sum of $20,000EC to be paid in seven days or in default seven years imprisonment. With reference to the charge of possession of ammunition, he was cautioned, reprimanded and discharged.
