Three Charged for Cocaine Remanded at Bordelais

Thursday 20th October, 2011. 

 

Three individuals, who were charged by police for drug-related matters, have all been remanded at the Boredelais Correctional Facility.

The incident occurred about 7:55pm, on Saturday the 8th of October, 2011, at La Croix, Maingot, Castries, where police intercepted a Mazda pick-up, 4-door van, registration number: PJ4443. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of forty-seven (47) kilos of cocaine. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody. Further investigation lead police to the residence of a woman at La Toc, Road, Castries, near the tunnel, where a search was conducted and a quantity of five (5) kilos of cocaine was found. The woman and two other occupants were taken into custody.

Upon completion of the investigation, police preferred  charges of possession of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply  against 34-year-old, Moises Arvelo Morales, a Venezuelan national who was a passenger on board the 4-door, pick-up van. The driver of the aforementioned vehicle, 29-year-old, Chester Shervon Williams was also charged for possession of controlled drugs and possession with intent to supply. However, he was additionally charged for aiding and abetting possession of controlled drugs and aiding and abetting possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. The 25-year-old, woman, Nataly Charlemagne whose house was searched at La Toc, Road, was charged for possession of controlled drugs, possession with intent to supply, aiding and abetting possession of controlled drugs and aiding and abetting possession with intent to supply.

The trio appeared in court on Thursday the 13th of October, 2011, where they were remanded at the Bordelais Correctional Facility until the 18th of November, 2011, when they reappear in court. The two other occupants of the house that was previously searched have since been released. No charges were preferred against them.
