Two Castries youth, 24 and 17, arrested for possession of ammunition
On Tuesday 31st July 2012, about 10; 45 pm, two off duty police officers were in the Babonneau area acted upon information and conducted a search on 24-year-old Yannick Montoute of the CDC area in Castries and 17 year old Lisa Lennie of Bagatelle also in Castries.
The officers discovered four(4) .380 live rounds of ammunition concealed in a black plastic bag inside of a La Coste bag hanging from the neck of Yannick Montoute.
Both individuals were arrested and taken into custody.
On Wednesday 1st August 2012, they were both charged for the possession of ammunition. They were taken before the court on Thursday 2nd August to answer to the said charges.
Lisa Lennie was bailed in the sum of $3000.00 cash or suitable surety whereas Yannick Montoute was bailed in the sum of $5000.00 cash or suitable surety. They were bailed with certain conditions as follows:
- Surrender all travelling documents
Report to the Beat and Patrol Department every Monday.
